Overview
A hat is the one branded item people wear because they want to, not because they were handed it at an event. That makes headwear the highest-return piece of company apparel most businesses buy, and it is worth getting the decoration method right.
SJG decorates hats four ways: laser-engraved leather patches, UV-printed patches, direct embroidery, and full-colour transfers. Each suits a different logo. A detailed or multi-colour mark reproduces cleanly on a printed patch; a simple bold wordmark looks best engraved into leather or stitched directly.
Blank styles cover trucker, snapback, structured and unstructured dad hats, rope hats, five-panel and beanies. Bring your own blanks or order them through us. There are no minimums, so a single prototype and a hundred-hat team order run through the same Austin shop.

Is there a minimum order for custom hats?
No. SJG makes single hats and full team orders through the same process. Per-hat cost drops with quantity, but there is no minimum to place an order.
Which decoration method suits my logo?
Detailed, multi-colour or gradient logos reproduce best on a UV-printed patch. Simple bold wordmarks look best laser-engraved into leather or embroidered directly. Send the artwork and we will tell you which will actually hold at hat scale rather than guessing.
Can I supply my own hats?
Yes. We decorate customer-supplied blanks regularly. Send them over and we will confirm the material takes the method you want before starting.
What hat styles can I choose from?
Trucker, snapback, structured and unstructured dad hats, rope hats, five-panel and beanies, in a wide range of colours. If you have a specific blank in mind we can usually source it.
How small can text or detail be on a hat?
Embroidery has a physical floor: text under about a quarter inch tall and hairline strokes close up or drop out. Printed and laser-engraved patches hold considerably finer detail, which is often the deciding factor for a busy logo.
How long do custom hats take?
Most hat orders are ready in 2 to 5 business days. Rush production is available for an added fee when the deadline is shared up front.
