Cox Renovations Case Study
SJG Print & Design rebuilt Cox Renovations of Anna, Texas: a 57-page commercial and multi-family contractor site with plan-upload bids, AEO and the Cox Command ops app.
The brief
Cox Renovations had a strong, owner-led story on a one-page site search engines could barely see: one indexable URL, no sitemap or schema, hidden project photos, and a brand name crowded by other DFW Cox contractors.
The rebuild needed to keep Ronny's first-person voice and do everything Cedar Park Electric's platform does, retargeted from residential electrical to commercial construction and multi-family renovation.
What we built
Professional cyberpunk-construction design: steel black, hazard amber and laser cyan, blueprint grids, HUD spec panels and an animated steel-frame wireframe, with reduced-motion support
14 service pages (6 hubs, 8 specialty), 5 industry pages, 11 city pages plus statewide, 6 project case pages built from Cox's own photos, cost guides and a 22-question FAQ hub
Multi-step bid form with plan uploads to private storage, a budget estimator, a printable capability statement and a subcontractor intake
GeneralContractor, Service, FAQPage, Article, Person and ImageObject structured data, llms.txt, AI-crawler-friendly robots.txt, IndexNow and 301s for old indexed URLs
Cox Command operations app: leads with bid details and plan files, Good/Better/Best quotes, jobs, change orders, punch lists, subcontractor COI tracking, invoices and service agreements
People also ask
Who built the Cox Renovations website? SJG Print & Design designed and built the Cox Renovations website and the Cox Command operations app for Cox Renovations LLC, the family-owned commercial construction and multi-family renovation contractor in Anna, Texas owned by Ronny and Attie Cox. It is not affiliated with other DFW contractors that share the Cox name.
What changed from the old Cox Renovations site? The old site was a single indexable page with no sitemap, schema or analytics, and 12 of 13 project photos loaded only through JavaScript. The rebuild has 57 indexable pages, one per service, city, industry and project, real image tags in AVIF and WebP, GeneralContractor structured data, llms.txt and a plan-upload bid form.
How is the site built for AI search? Every service and city page opens with a short, quotable answer, FAQs carry FAQPage schema, the business entity is anchored with consistent name, address and phone, and robots.txt welcomes GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended.
